Dr. Kraus was born and raised in Germany. She later moved to Arizona and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona where she graduated Magna cum laude. She graduated medical school from Midwestern University and completed her general surgery residency at HonorHealth. During her residency she earned awards for her dedication to teaching junior residents and medical students and for her empathy and communication with her patients. She also served as administrative chief resident during her final year.

In her free time Dr. Kraus likes to read, cook, hike, and travel with her family. 
 

Dr. Kraus is fluent in German.
